Natural Bittern of Kitaura, "Nigari-chan"

About “Nigari-chan”, Natural Bittern from Michi-no-Eki Kitaura

During the salt-making process, seawater is boiled down and the resulting salt is transferred to bamboo baskets to drain. The liquid collected during this process is known as “Nigari” (bittern). Only 35 to 40 liters can be harvested each day. Nigari is said to help restore the body’s natural immune system and protect against bacteria, offering benefits for a wide variety of health conditions and symptoms.

“Nigari-chan” is a signature product that we at Michi-no-Eki Kitaura (Nobeoka Michi-no-Eki Co., Ltd.) are proud to offer.

Introducing the Benefits and Uses of Nigari

– Nigari Water: Add 2–4 ml of Nigari to 1 liter of water. Drink between 0.3 to 1 liter throughout the day in several servings.

– By the Glass: Add 1–3 drops of Nigari to one cup of water (approx. 200 ml) and enjoy.

– Nigari Bath: Add 3 to 5 capfuls of Nigari to your bathtub and soak for 20 to 30 minutes.

– Nigari Lotion: Mix 3 to 8 ml of Nigari with 1 liter of water. You can apply it directly to your skin like a toner or transfer it to a spray bottle to mist and apply to specific areas of concern.

– Mix 1 part Nigari with 10–15 parts water and gargle thoroughly.

Apply the undiluted solution directly to the area.

Note: Please keep in mind that Nigari is not a medicine. We recommend finding the amount that works best for you and using it consistently to truly experience its natural benefits.
